catholic confirmation retreat, i was up for jeopardy.
the question was the first three words of the old testament, i buzzed in.
after like 30 seconds of confirming it to myself and feeling pretty sure, i answered "on the first."
really? i think i heard someone blurt out "in the beginning" too and i still answered one of the simplest questions in the world incorrectly. it was embarrassing and a low point in my career as a human.
